UNITED Bank for Africa (UBA Plc), one of the biggest commercial banks in Africa has announced early daily closures to all its staff and customers over security situations nationwide.

The bank stated that the action is being taken to ensure the security of both its employees and customers in an email that was sent to its customers on Thursday September 1, 2022.

According to the statement: “Notice of Early Closure, Dear customer, Please be informed that some of our branches will now close earlier for the safety of our customers and employees. Some customers have expressed concerns about the decision, saying it would further complicate their ability to do business. The bank’s failure to clearly state the hours that its branches would be running on weekdays also did not help apprehensive customers.
