Mr Eyo Odiong, Training Coordinator, Dukes Paradise Ltd., says the organisation will train 25 Lagos youths on cybersecurity to mitigate the risk of data breaches, financial losses and reputational damage.
Odiong, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday, said the training was in response to the ever-growing cyber threats.
According to him, the organisation will train the youths on protecting sensitive data and assets, meeting compliance and regulatory requirements and creating a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Odiong said the training would bridge the cybersecurity skills gap and maintain system integrity to bolster financial security and protect digital assets.
The coordinator said the training would also equip participants with the ability to identify and respond to cyber threats like phishing and malware and safeguard personal and organisational data effectively.
He said that the three-day training would teach network security and ethical hacking and explore career opportunities in the cybersecurity field.
Odiong listed the benefits of the training to include safe online practices, detection of threats, improved digital literacy, career advancement, enhanced compliances and secured operations, among others.
