The traditional chief of Isinkwo community in Onicha Local Government Area, Mr. Josephat Ikengwu, has been suspended by Ebonyi Governor David Umahi due to ongoing killings in his territory.
Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), announced the traditional ruler’s immediate suspension on Sunday at Abakaliki.

Ugbala said that Ikengwu had fallen short of his obligation to put an end to the killings in the neighborhood.
As a result, on or before the end of business on Monday, October 17, 2022, “he is to return all government property in his possession, including his official vehicle, to the SSG.
