Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, have urged Lagosians, especially Surulere residents, to re-elect President Bola Tinubu and vote for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The duo spoke Saturday at the 2026 Gbaja Mega Empowerment held at the National Stadium, Surulere. Hamzat said the APC has remained dominant through grassroots engagement and service to the people, noting that empowerment initiatives demonstrate the party’s commitment to citizens. Gbajabiamila said the programme is designed to give back and create sustainable opportunities.
About 5,000 residents benefitted from the empowerment, including 4,018 who received N250,000 each, 348 who got N500,000 each, as well as 61 electric vehicles, 50 e-tricycles, 60 mini-buses, 100 laptops, four 18-seater buses, two security patrol vehicles and a medical ambulance. Beneficiaries were urged to use the items productively for their families and communities.
