Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the revered National Leader of Afenifere, who died at 100.

In a condolence message on behalf of his family, Hamzat extended sympathies to the Fasoranti family, the government and people of Ondo State, and the entire Yoruba nation. He described Fasoranti as a distinguished educator, principled leader and respected voice in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape, whose life was devoted to justice, fairness and preservation of Yoruba values within a united Nigeria.

Hamzat said Fasoranti’s leadership of Afenifere reflected unwavering commitment to the dignity, rights and aspirations of the Yoruba people, noting his courage, wisdom and adherence to principle earned him respect as a father figure and counsellor. “Pa Fasoranti lived a remarkable century of service… His life was defined by integrity, conviction and an enduring commitment to justice,” he said, praying for eternal rest and fortitude for the family.
