The Arewa Youth Vanguard has advised the Federal Government to hire security experts if the country is to sustain and eventually win the ongoing war against banditry and other forms of insecurity.
The advice was given by Arewa Youth Vanguard, which also chastised the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, for failing to inform Nigerians about the country’s security situation, particularly the ongoing fight against insecurity in the north.
The group declared that the Minister of Information’s claim is not only false, but also a mockery of the Nigerian people, who deserve far more than what they are being fed.
The group, however, lend its support to a security expert, Mr. Adejare Adegbenro whom it described as a well versed person in decimating terrorism.

It would be recalled that Information Minister Lai Mohammed had in a recent joint press conference with security chiefs hinted that the worst security challenges in the country are over.
Lai Mohammed, however, also said that although there might still be pockets of attacks nationwide, the situation can never be worse and noted that while the most populous black nation might not be there yet, the military and other security agencies, nevertheless, have succeeded substantially in containing insecurity.
