Kaduna Electric’s new board of directors has approved a general worker pay raise.
Yusuf Usman Yahaya, the company’s managing director, and chief executive officer, announced the news of the salary increase in a statement over the weekend.

The managing director stated that the hike will take effect as soon as the Management has finalized the implementation methods.
He added that both the Board and Management under his leadership are committed to the welfare of employees and will strive to meet all obligations to staff.
He urged staff to reciprocate the kind gesture by doubling their work rate so that Kaduna Electric can meet the remittance expectations of the electricity market.
He warned that management shall take stern measures against staff who indulge in vices that impede the progress of the company while assuring that staff who work diligently shall be duly recognized and adequately rewarded.
