Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, says South-East would be the main beneficiaries if APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed-Tinubu wins the 2023 election.
Speaking on Tuesday morning before resumption of the National Assembly annual vacation, Uzor-Kalu, told journalists that Tinubu is a strategist that will accord people of his region what is due to them.
He further added that presidential election is beyond regional politics and more of party politics as he dismissed insinuation on the reason for not supporting Peter Obi.
The Minority Caucus in the National Assembly had on July 28, 2022 handed down a six-week ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure a significant improvement in the security situation in the country or risk impeachment.
Senator Kalu, while dismissing the claim to review the situation at the expiration of the ultimatum, said security is generally improving in the country.
The Abia North Senator however predicted that the 2023 General Elections would be a Tsunami on senators.
