The Nigerian Navy and French Navy have flagged off a joint sea exercise tagged Crocodile lift and Grand African NEMO 2023 in the Gulf of Guinea (GoG).

The exercise is targeted at stamping out all maritime threats in the Gulf Of Guinea and also boosting foreign trade in the West African sub- region.

The Nigerian Navy will deploy five of its’ warships and two helicopters while the French Navy will deploy a warship during the operation to make preparedness for any such threats.

The exercise, Crocodile Lift, named after Nigerian Navy Ship KADA, is in its’ second annual edition, while the Grand African Nemo is in its’ fifth annual edition.
