Monsuru Bello Obe has emerged as the All Progressives Congress candidate for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in the House of Representatives following a primary election that drew large turnouts across the constituency. Delegates, party stakeholders, grassroots mobilizers, youth and women groups, and loyal supporters participated in the exercise, signaling strong political engagement within the party.
Collated ward results showed Obe securing over 8,000 votes, with dominant wins across multiple wards. The result sparked celebrations in several parts of the constituency, with supporters describing it as a victory for grassroots politics, loyalty, and progressive leadership. Reacting to the win, Obe thanked party leaders, delegates, and residents for the confidence reposed in him, saying, “This victory belongs to the people and the entire APC family across Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II.”
Obe called for unity and reconciliation within the APC ahead of the general elections, stressing that the party must come together as one to secure victory. He pledged responsive representation and promised to focus on people-oriented legislation, youth empowerment, infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities for the constituency. He also urged party faithful to remain peaceful and focused as preparations for the next phase of the election begin.
