The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has expressed worry over the rising insecurity and killings of innocent Nigerians by some unidentified persons across the country.

National president of the body of lawyers , Olumide Akpata expressed the concerns on behalf of the association in Ilorin the Kwara State capital during the National Executive Council meeting of the Association on thursday.

Olumide Akpata while lamenting the daily blood shed by these groups of unidentified persons across Nigeria said government is largely responsible for the security challenges in the country due to it’s lack of promptness in responding to the issues.

On the forthcoming elections of the union, Akpata while insisting on free and transparent poll, said all hands must be on deck to stop vote buying.

Ending the current state of insecurity in Nigeria , according to the NBA president, must come with a framework that allows for effective inter agency collaboration among the different security structure in the country.
