The long-running battle between Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and Peoples Democratic Party Vice Chairman, South-South, Chief Dan Orbih appears to be over, as the Independent National Electoral Commission has recognised the candidate produced by the latter faction in the May primary.

Both factions held separate primaries that resulted in candidates for various elective positions.

However, a visit to the INEC headquarters in Benin City, the Edo State capital, on Tuesday revealed that INEC had pasted a comprehensive list on its notice board, and all of the PDP candidates on the list were the winners of the Orbih faction’s primaries.

INEC in the published list remarked that its action was ordered by the court.
