The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, on behalf of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has presented cheques totalling N37,913,081.77 to families and next-of-kin of deceased officers who served under the command.
The presentation, held at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, under the Nigeria Police Force Group Life Assurance Scheme, was done by DCP Oliver Ezirim, in charge of SCID, alongside management team members, with a one-minute silence observed for the departed officers.
DCP Ezirim said the gesture reflects the Force’s commitment to welfare and appreciation of the officers’ sacrifices, while Mrs John Shito, speaking for beneficiaries, thanked the IGP and the Command and pledged judicious use of the funds.
