The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed reports claiming a curfew or movement restriction has been imposed across the state. Command spokespersons, speaking under Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, said the claims are false and misleading, and assured residents that the security situation remains calm and under control.
According to the Command, personnel and operational assets have been strategically deployed to maintain law and order and protect lives and property. Residents were urged to ignore unverified information that could cause panic and to go about their lawful activities without fear.
The police also called on the public to report suspicious movements or security concerns using the available emergency lines. The toll-free Gateway Shield line is 0800 000 9111, while other emergency numbers include 0906 283 7609, 0912 014 1706, 0915 102 7369, and 0708 497 2994.
