The old students of Oshodi secondary school, Olodi-Apapa, have launched their project for a 300 seater capacity hall to their alma mater as part of their giving back to the school on the 40th anniversary celebration of the school.

At the stellar event held at the Golden Tulip marque in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos State the turn out had old students from the pioneer set up until the latest graduands in attendance.

The start up of activities was marked by prayer sessions from the Christian and Muslim faiths. The national anthem and school anthem were sung to officially kick start the grand opening.

A minute silence was given in honour of those who had departed. The national president gave his opening speech which was shortly followed by the current principal of the senior school giving hearty thanks to the old students for all their generous donations to the school for a worthy cause and continuation of a healthy academic and social life for the students currently in the school.

The junior school principal also added glowing remarks and thanks for their benevolence.

Thereafter, donations came from different sets towards the launch of the project of N100 million naira, which is to be successfully completed in two years.

After the unveiling of the projected hall, awards were made to their former teachers, with the old students thanking them for all their sacrifices and patience for molding them into the individuals they are especially as members of society who are astute and successful in their various walks of life.
