The police in Jigawa have arrested two suspects for stealing a cow in the state’s Garki Local Government Area.

ASP Lawan Shiisu, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, announced this in Dutse on Monday.

Shiisu said the suspects were apprehended after one Nasiru Magaji reported to police that on December 14, around 2:30 a.m., unidentified thieves trespassed into his home and stole his cow.

He explained that after receiving the report, police detectives went into action and later recovered the stolen cow in Kano State’s Wudil market.

The two suspects, both 30, and residents of Jaya and Daware villages in Garki and Ringim LGAs, respectively, were arrested in connection with the case, according to the spokesperson.

Two other suspects, residents of Jaya and Badage villages in Garki and Ringim LGAs, he said, were still at large.

Shiisu stated that the suspects would be charged in court once the investigation was completed, and that efforts were being made to track down and apprehend the two fleeing suspects.
