President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality industry following a meeting with the Director-General/CEO of NIHOTOUR, Aare Abisoye Fagade.
During the meeting, Fagade briefed the President on reforms around professional standards, skills development and implementation of the NIHOTOUR Act 2022, and presented him with the Grand Fellow of National Hospitality and Tourism (GFNHT) – the sector’s highest singular honour.
Fagade said the engagement aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that tourism must be seen beyond leisure as a driver of jobs, investment and economic diversification, while NIHOTOUR remains committed to building a competitive and globally recognised industry.
