Osa, a suspected ritualist, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Elohor Oniorosa, in order to perform a money ritual.
On Christmas Eve, the suspect allegedly invited the deceased to his family house in Egor Local Government Area, Benin, Edo State, where he allegedly slaughtered her.
Edo State Police Command officers are on the lookout for the suspect.
Though the details of the murder are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, Edo Police Command spokesman SP Kontongs Bello has confirmed the tragic incident.
The incident was reported to one of the state police divisions by the deceased’s father, William Oniorosa, according to Bello.
“The suspect’s name is Osas,” Bello said in response to a question about the incident. Elohor Oniorosa, daughter of one William Oniorosa, who reported the incident to the police, has an unknown boyfriend.
“An investigation is underway. In the meantime, the suspect is on the loose. The incident occurred on December 24, 2021.”
Meanwhile, a similar incident occurred a few months ago in Osun State.
Kabiru Oyedun, 39, was arrested in Osun for being in possession of a girl’s dismembered body parts.
The suspect and his friend Akin, who is still on the loose, are accused of killing the girl and removing her vital organs.
