The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) held its 44th Annual National Scientific Conference, IFEADIGO 2025, on July 23, 2025, at the International Conference Center, Awka, Anambra State. With the theme Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacy Practice, the event brought together top pharmaceutical leaders, government officials, and traditional rulers.

Prominent attendees included Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo; PSN President, Pharm. Tanko Ayuba Ibrahim; PCN Registrar, Pharm. Ibrahim Babasheu Ahmed; and keynote speaker Prof. Chukwuemeka Michael Ubaka, Imo State Commissioner for Health. They emphasized the evolving role of community pharmacists in leveraging technology and delivering personalized care.

In his keynote, Prof. Ubaka stressed the importance of integrating digital tools into pharmacy practice, declaring pharmacists as frontline healthcare providers crucial for achieving universal health coverage. ACPN National Chairman, Pharm. Ambrose Ezeh, applauded Anambra’s strides in pharmaceutical development, particularly through the Coordinated Wholesale Centre (CWC) in Oba, and called for regulatory clarity between NAFDAC and PCN.

Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s support for healthcare innovation and praised pharmacists as the heart of the healthcare system. PSN President Tanko lauded ACPN’s pivotal role in community health and confirmed Anambra as host for the next National PSN Conference.

The event concluded with awards, goodwill messages, and a shared commitment to transform community pharmacy practice through digital innovation, stronger collaboration, and a patient-centered approach.
