Nigeria’s campaign against malaria has gained fresh momentum with the endorsement of the Geneith Health Competition (GHC) by His Royal Highness AIG Bashir E. Makama Dabup III (psc+Rtd), the Mwo-Ywom of Garkawa, Plateau State and head of the Ywom Traditional Council. His backing reflects a growing recognition of the urgent need to empower young people as drivers of health advocacy and change.
The Geneith Health Competition, organized by CEOAFRICA in collaboration with Geneith Pharmaceuticals Ltd and powered by Coatal Forte Softgel, is designed to mobilize students from secondary and tertiary institutions across Nigeria. With incentives and scholarships valued at over ₦1 billion, the initiative creates a platform for young people to champion malaria prevention and awareness within their schools and communities.
For Garkawa, the royal endorsement carries special significance, as the traditional council has committed to enrolling students in the competition to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to lead health advocacy efforts.
