The Ogun State Police Command says it has begun an immediate investigation into an incident involving students of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, and officers from Igbesa Division that occurred Tuesday night. Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni ordered the comprehensive probe to establish what happened.
The Command assured the public that due process will be followed and that any misconduct found will attract appropriate disciplinary action under existing regulations. It stressed its commitment to professionalism, discipline, and respect for the rights of all residents, including students.
Police urged OGITECH students and the wider student community to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while the investigation runs its course. The Command said justice will be pursued without compromise and promised to make the outcome public once concluded.
