The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has completed an Executive Training Programme for Commissioners of Police aimed at strengthening strategic communication and service delivery in the Nigeria Police Force. The course aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, for a more professional, people-focused policing institution.
Organized by the Department of Training and Development under DIG Isyaku Mohammed and the Nigeria Police Public Relations School headed by CP Emmanuel Ojukwu (Rtd), the programme focused on _“Enhancing Strategic Communication, Media Relations, Thought Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Public Relations and Excellence.”_ Participants were also inducted into the Institute of Conflict Management and Negotiation Analysts, ICMNA, at the end of the course.
After the training, CP Ojajuni commended the IGP for the initiative, calling it a deliberate investment in leadership and institutional credibility. “We need to actually tell our stories, communicate effectively, and make sure Nigerians actually believe whatever the Police are saying, because our primary duty is to serve them with the utmost efficiency, and our service delivery must be excellent,” he stated.
