The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday received members of the Ogun State Hunters Association led by State President, Chief Muftau Alabi Oseni, at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta. The delegation also included State Chairman, Chief Tajudeen Adele; Trustee, Chief Bakare Ajayi Fatai; and other members of the association. The visit was to commend the Command’s security efforts and pledge continued support for grassroots policing.
Speaking for the association, Chief Adele thanked the CP and his management team for the warm reception and lauded the notable achievements recorded since Ojajuni assumed office, particularly the rollout and success of _Operation Kosaye_. He appreciated the Command for involving hunters in operational engagements and pledged the association’s unwavering support in safeguarding lives and property across Ogun State. CP Ojajuni opened his remarks with a minute of silence in honour of a hunter who died during a recent joint operation, and acknowledged the vital role of hunters in the state’s security architecture, especially under _Operation Kosaye_.
The Commissioner called for sustained collaboration, with emphasis on grassroots intelligence gathering and timely information sharing where the association has demonstrated strength. He reaffirmed his open-door policy and assured the leadership of continuous access and support. CP Ojajuni said partnership with community stakeholders remains critical to proactive policing and maintaining peace and security throughout the state.
