The Nigerian Army says it recorded multiple operational successes across several states in the last 24 hours, including the rescue of kidnap victims and the disruption of terrorist and criminal activities. The operations were carried out through coordinated, intelligence-driven offensives in collaboration with other security agencies.
In Kogi, Sokoto, and Niger states, troops arrested suspected terrorists, cleared communities, dismantled camps, and rescued a foreign national held captive. Similar raids in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states targeted drug peddlers and illegal oil bunkering sites, leading to six arrests and the recovery of illicit substances and refining equipment.
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace in Plateau State also intercepted criminal elements, arresting nine suspects and recovering firearms, ammunition, motorcycles, and cash. The Army said the operations reflect sustained offensive action and effective inter-agency collaboration in tackling insecurity.
