LAGOS — It was celebration at the headquarters of Geneith Pharmaceuticals as staff, business associates and members of the Geneith Health Competition team joined the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Sunday Iloabanafor, to honour the company’s Executive Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Umenwa, on his birthday.
The atmosphere was filled with tributes to his leadership, dedication to staff welfare and impact on healthcare development in Nigeria. Prince Iloabanafor described Umenwa as a trailblazer in the pharmaceutical industry whose work has improved access to quality healthcare and community wellbeing. “Chief Emmanuel Umenwa is a beacon of excellence whose contributions to the pharmaceutical sector have saved countless lives and elevated standards of healthcare delivery,” he said. Geneith Health Competition National Coordinator, Pharm. Blessing Ghensel, also commended Umenwa for his passion for youth empowerment and for championing health for all Nigerians.
Chief Umenwa, founder and CEO of Geneith Pharmaceuticals, has over two decades of experience in the sector. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, an active Rotarian, and holds a http://B.Sc. in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He also serves on boards across telecommunications, hospitality and pharmaceuticals, and has received awards including the Pillar of Pharmacy Award and the National Outstanding Leadership Performance Award. Under his leadership, Geneith Pharmaceuticals has led anti-malaria campaigns and health awareness drives nationwide. Responding, Chief Umenwa thanked staff and well-wishers for their support and used the occasion to call for united action against malaria: “The best way to celebrate my birthday is to join the fight against malaria and let us make Nigeria a malaria-free nation.”
