As a mark of honour for the late former Kwara South Senator, Rafiu Ibrahim, the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced with heavy hearts the suspension of Party activities.

The Party, in a statement released in Ilorin the Kwara State capital on Friday, and signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, said it regretted to inform the general public that except in matters of exigency and/or overriding public interest, it has suspended all party meetings, rallies, and other political gatherings until after forty-one days, when all post-funeral rites and prayers are expected to have been completed.

The party however mandated that all members, forums, caucuses, youth associations, elders, and affiliated stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State to strictly comply with this directive.

Recalled that Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, a former Senator in the 8th National Assembly died last week Wednesday 17th April 2024 at the age of 57 after an illness.
