ABEOKUTA — Ambassador Prince Deji Bakare, Convener of the Most Beautiful Girl in Ogun State 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Ola Oresanya, as part of engagements ahead of the pageant’s Grand Finale. The Commissioner received the MBGO team and commended the initiative for promoting the beauty, culture, tourism and positive image of Ogun State through the platform.
Dr. Oresanya expressed appreciation for the vision behind MBGO 2026, noting its potential to create opportunities for young women while showcasing the state’s heritage and identity. He said he looks forward to meeting the eventual Queen and urged the organisers to sustain the good work. Discussions also touched on possible support for the winner as she begins her role representing Ogun State and the organisation beyond its borders. Ambassador Bakare, a former Mr. Nigeria, reaffirmed the team’s commitment to partnering with government stakeholders and promised the new Queen would return for another courtesy visit after the finale. Members of the Commissioner’s cabinet were also present at the meeting.
The visit is part of broader efforts to build partnerships with government and private-sector leaders ahead of the *MBGO 2026 Grand Finale scheduled for November 21, 2026 in Abeokuta*. Organisers say the crown is about more than beauty — the winner is expected to serve as an ambassador of purpose, culture, tourism and responsible representation for Ogun State. “The crown is coming. The Queen is coming. And Ogun State is ready to witness her rise,” Ambassador Bakare stated.
