ASABA — The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, on Monday hosted the Commander, 63 Brigade, Nigerian Army and Sector 1 Commander, South-South, Operation Delta Safe, Brigadier General Ibrahim Buhari, and other senior military officers at the Command Headquarters in Asaba.

Brigadier General Buhari congratulated CP Erale on his assumption of duty and reaffirmed the 63 Brigade’s commitment to joint operations. He said the Police and Army have a history of working together on security challenges in Delta and stressed that sustained communication, intelligence sharing and mutual support will be key going forward.

CP Erale, in his remarks, thanked the Brigade Commander for the visit and described collaboration between security agencies as non-negotiable in Delta. He compared the police and military to branches of one tree with a shared mandate, and noted that the coming election period will demand even greater synergy. The CP assured that the Delta Police Command will continue to work closely with the 63 Brigade to prevent crime and ensure the state remains peaceful before, during and after the elections.
