Nigerian female police officers are projecting the professionalism and growing leadership capacity of women in law enforcement at the 63rd Annual Training Conference of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP) holding in Bali, Indonesia from September 20-24, 2026.
The conference themed “Women Leading Global Change” brings together policewomen from across the world to exchange knowledge on technology-driven policing, investigative techniques and best practices. The Nigerian delegation includes ACP Ameh-Akpa Veronica, CSP Mariam Busola Ogunmolasuyi, ACP Onwuamaegbu Oyinye, ACP Edet Uduak Bassey and other senior officers including ACP Niyree Rwang, CSP Lami Patrick, CSP Opeifa Omolola, SP Omeoga Princess Esther, SP Victoria David, ASP Musa Hyelakuri and Inspector Mercy Johnson.
Their participation provides a platform to share Nigeria’s policing experiences while learning from global counterparts, strengthening international partnerships and underscoring the increasing roles of women in investigations, operations and rights enforcement.
