Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, has undertaken a strategic familiarization tour of the Sagamu and Owode Egba Area Commands to deepen grassroots security and collaborative policing. Accompanied by the Command Management Team and PCRC State Chairman, Comrade Lawal Abdullahi, the CP opened the tour with a royal visit to the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, who praised the Command’s professionalism and pledged continued support. In Sagamu, Ojajuni held an interactive session with community stakeholders, the Ogun State Hunters Association, and officers, commending their intelligence support and discipline during the recent Lagos-Ogun “Operation Kosaye.” He later commissioned a newly renovated Sagamu Divisional Office alongside DIG Peter Babatunde Ogunyanwo (Rtd) and Lafarge Sagamu representatives, acknowledging the company’s CSR contributions to police infrastructure.
The tour continued in Owode Egba with a courtesy call on Obafemi Owode LGA Chairman, Ambassador Adesina Ogunshola Lanre, FCPA, and his cabinet. CP Ojajuni described the command as the state’s largest and a key industrial hub that remains secure despite high crime-risk mapping. The Chairman lauded the Command’s peacekeeping efforts. At the Area Command headquarters, the CP addressed officers, traditional rulers, community leaders, and sister agencies, highlighting inter-agency synergy as critical to sustaining a crime-free axis and reaffirming that “Operation Kosaye” will deny cross-border criminals safe haven. He also asked the Chairman to convey the Command’s appreciation to the Governor for backing the operation.
Concluding in Sagamu, CP Ojajuni visited the TGI Industrial Complex, home to Wacub, Wasil, and Wacot, where he met General Manager of Operations, Mr. Miranda Grande. He linked job creation to crime prevention and commended TGI’s CSR impact, while Mr. Grande applauded the Command’s role in reducing criminality around the Interchange and across Ogun State. The Commissioner said the engagements reflect the Command’s commitment to a proactive, inclusive, and partnership-driven approach to public safety.
