Police operatives in Ekiti have arrested two suspects Ayodele Kolawole, aka Last Kobo and Asegbeosi Bamise, aka Kongo for burgling an apartment in Ayegbaju-Ekiti and carting away items worth millions of naira.
Ekiti Police Spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu announced the arrest of the suspects in a statement on Thursday.
According to him, the suspects were arrested after report by the owner of the house that they conspired with others who are currently at large to burgle his house sometime in January 2022.
He listed the items stolen by the suspects and their accomplices from the apartment as one HP laptop computer worth #310,000, one Cannon video camera worth #850,000, Cain cable valued #85,000, one Cannon photo camera valued #75,000, one Tecno L9 Plus phone valued #85,000, one Tecno Camon phone valued #45,000, Eat pad valued #65,000 and other valuables.

“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the crime and revealed that they are part of a syndicate that specializes in burgling shops and residential apartments. The suspects will be arraigned accordingly,” Abutu concluded.
