Every registered participant will undergo specialized training to become a certified “Malaria Ambassador,” gaining practical knowledge and advocacy skills to champion prevention, promote healthy behaviors, and drive awareness campaigns in schools, communities, and LGAs. Organizers say the grassroots model will build a nationwide network of youth advocates to translate the Zero Malaria vision into tangible results. Health stakeholders have welcomed the initiative as a timely intervention that moves beyond awareness to measurable community action, while Geneith Pharmaceuticals Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Umenwa urged youth to lead the transformation: “Unless we fully carry young people along in this fight, malaria elimination will remain a distant goal. The energy, digital literacy, innovation, and sheer population strength of Nigerian youth are the critical ingredients required to finally win this decades-long battle.”
