The Nigerian Senate Senate has condemned the assassination attempt on Anambra South Senator Ifeanyi Ubah describing the incident of September 11 as traumatizing and one attack too many.
This position of the Senate in plenary was sequel to a motion brought as a matter of urgent public importance by Anambra Central Senator, Uche Ekwunife.
The Lawmaker expressed dismay over the attack which resulted in the death of Senator Ubah’s personal aides and security operatives attached to him.
Other lawmakers including the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, threw their weight behind the motion, calling for urgent measures to address the worsening security concerns in Nigeria’s southeast as well as the country as a whole.
