Skyview Properties has dismissed as frivolous blackmail claims by Alhaji Akeem Osuolale Ogunseye to Plot 37, Block 77, Lekki Peninsula Scheme 1, Lekki, saying it legally purchased the property in 2008 from a buyer who acquired it from original owner Samuel Alao Ajibode with C of O and Deed of Conveyance, and holds a subsisting Lagos High Court judgement of June 30, 2025 by Justice K. A. Jose in Suit LD/1006CMW/2015 which declared it rightful owner and restrained Ajibode, his agents and privies from trespassing.
The firm said AIG Moshood Jimoh, then Lagos CP, only intervened to restore peace and direct parties to await court decision when Ogunseye allegedly invaded the site with thugs, and that it returned to develop the land only after judgment, with approval from Lagos Ministry of Physical Planning. It added that Ogunseye, acting for Ajibode who has relocated to the US, has no stay of execution and had demanded N50m after the sale, resorting to violence when the demand failed.
Skyview urged media to verify facts before publication, insisting it will not succumb to media blackmail or self-help tactics.
