This Day Senior Defence Correspondent, Chiemele Ezeobi, on Monday visited Nigerian Air forces (NAF) headquarters office and was on hand to decorate one of the newly promoted officers in Abuja.

The Group features Editor, who was honoured by the office of Director of Public Relations for NAF, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, appreciated the NAF for the opportunity to decorate one of the newly promoted officers and commended them for the service for the nation.

Ezeobi, gave honours and commended the director of public Relations for the NAF, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, for the opportunity to decorate one of the four newly promoted Airmen.

She was also received as a special guest of honour at the decoration of the Airmen.

She gave an address to them on their newly promotion and also commended them for their service to the nation and further charged them to work harder in promoting the image of the Nigerian Air Force.

In her speech, she reminded them that the Pen is still mightier than the Sword, and thanked them for partnering with her because, without the Information Unit, the activities of the NAF would remain in obscurity.

Furthermore, she urged them to mentor the younger and upcoming ones because without any impact on anyone around them, then they would only be occupying space.

“Congratulations to the newly promoted Airmen! Congratulations to the Nigerian Air Force and Thank you to Air Commodore Gabkwet for the hand of fellowship!”

“Like the NAF will say…Willing, Able, Ready” added in her speech.
