The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has appointed Mr. Suleiman Danlami Kum as Head of its Nigeria National Office (HNO), succeeding Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut who has completed his tenure.

Kum, who joined WAEC on July 17, 1998 as Assistant Registrar II and rose to Senior Deputy Registrar in 2024, is a seasoned test developer and administrator with 28 years experience. Born October 16, 1970 in Minna and hailing from Langtang North LGA, Plateau State, he holds a http://B.Agric in Animal Production from University of Agriculture, Makurdi (1992), PGDE from NOUN (2025) and is completing his http://M.Ed in Educational Administration.

Until his appointment, he served as Deputy Registrar at HNO’s Office and previously held key roles including Branch Controller, Gusau and Kano, Head, Security Printing, Zonal Coordinator, Port Harcourt and Ikeja, and Director of Administration, where he pioneered Variable Data Prints, biometric attendance, and Computer-Based Examinations.
