The Renewed Hope Network Group (TRN) Lagos State has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for Lagos governor in 2027. The endorsement was announced Sunday during a special congregational prayer at Tafawa Balewa Square, with TRN citing Tinubu’s leadership, commitment to democracy, and developmental record, and expressing confidence in Hamzat’s capacity to sustain progressive governance in Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the gathering reflected government’s focus on progress, good governance, and citizen welfare. He urged party members and residents to back Tinubu’s re-election and Hamzat’s governorship bid to ensure continuity of ongoing development. TRN convener Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke described Tinubu as a consistent democrat laying the foundation for a prosperous Nigeria, while former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello praised his decades of political resilience and role in building progressive platforms.
Responding, Dr. Hamzat called on Lagosians to mobilize support for Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027, saying the administration must be allowed to consolidate on its achievements. Lagos Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa added that the endorsement was both a prayer and a commitment to action, arguing that Hamzat’s partnership in governance has strengthened Lagos and positioned him to sustain the state’s momentum.
