The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Jigawa has announced that it has finalized plans to accept 4,000 members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The Jigawa APC Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Sani-Gumel, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday that all of the necessary procedures for a smooth transition had been completed.

More than 2,000 members of the PDP had previously defected to the APC in the state’s Maigatari and Kafin Hausa Local Government Areas, according to Sani-Gumel.
He claimed that 4,000 PDP members in Garki and Birnin Kudu LGAs had expressed interest in joining the APC, and that their reception would be held soon.
