The National President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association, POWA, Chief Mrs. Mutiat Olufunmilola Disu, has been honoured with the traditional title of _Jauharar Minna Emirate_, meaning “Precious Daughter of the Minna Emirate.” The title was conferred on Saturday, 25th July 2026, at the palace of the Emir of Minna, in appreciation of her sustained humanitarian efforts and commitment to improving the lives of police officers’ families across Nigeria.
The Emirate cited her compassionate leadership and impact through POWA’s welfare programmes as reasons for the honour. The council highlighted her work in women’s empowerment, support for widows, healthcare advocacy, education access, and initiatives that have strengthened the well-being of police families. It noted that her selfless service made her deserving of the prestigious recognition.
In her response, Chief Mrs. Disu thanked the Emir of Minna and the Emirate for the honour, saying she would cherish it. She dedicated the title to police families nationwide and pledged to continue advancing programmes focused on their welfare, dignity, and economic empowerment.
