LAGOS — Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on Saturday joined youths of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries for their 2026 programme at Odofin Park Estate, Ijesha. The gathering, themed “The Youth That Knows The Lord,” had church leaders, party officials and government appointees in attendance.

In his address, Dr. Hamzat urged young people to let faith guide their decisions, work ethic and public conduct. He said Nigeria’s progress depends on a generation that combines talent with character, and that rejects violence, corruption and electoral malpractice. “Knowing the Lord should show in how you treat people and in what you do when no one is watching,” he said. He noted that while Lagos offers opportunities in education, skills and enterprise, government cannot manufacture character — that duty rests with families, schools, communities and faith institutions.

The Deputy Governor encouraged youths to see leadership as service, ask questions, vote responsibly, and use their skills to improve communities. Pastor Lazarus Muoka, General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen, thanked Dr. Hamzat for the visit and prayed for him, his running mate Princess Damilola Sonayon-James, and the President, asking God to grant them wisdom. Dr. Hamzat was accompanied by APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, state commissioners, federal lawmakers and council chairmen.
