OGUN — The Ogun State Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, POCACOV, has taken its anti-vice advocacy to hundreds of teenagers and young adults at the Royal Ambassador Ogun Baptist Conference, Ephphatha 2026. The outreach, carried out under IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu and CP Bode Ojajuni, was led by State Coordinator ASP Oluborode Opeyemi and focused on equipping youths with knowledge to resist negative peer pressure.
Facilitators warned that cultism, gang violence, substance abuse and cybercrime ruin promising futures and threaten safety in schools and communities. They urged participants to embrace self-discipline, responsible choices and positive peer influence, stressing that early ethical leadership is the strongest defense against criminal temptation.
The session closed with the youths pledging to uphold moral standards and act as anti-vice ambassadors in their schools and neighborhoods. POCACOV Ogun said it will sustain community policing and preventive engagements across the state to keep young people away from crime.
