LAGOS — The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, on Monday, 31st August 2026, attended the opening of a one-day training programme at the M.D. Abubakar Hall, Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan. The programme was organised by the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Zonal Headquarters in collaboration with the Institute for Police and Security Policy Research.

The training, themed “Professionalism, Neutrality and Collaboration: Strengthening Election Security for Safe and Credible Elections,” is part of proactive measures by the Nigeria Police Force to prepare personnel for the upcoming elections. It focused on building professionalism, political neutrality, operational readiness, and inter-agency collaboration to ensure peaceful and credible polls.

Participants include the 14 Area Commanders of the Lagos State Command and their counterparts from the Ogun State Command. The engagement is expected to deepen officers’ capacity for election duty and reinforce the Force’s commitment to safe, secure and transparent electoral processes.
