In a major breakthrough against cult-related violence in Lagos, the State Police Command has arrested eight suspects allegedly linked to a string of killings within the Yaba College of Technology area. The arrests were made during an intelligence-led operation carried out by tactical operatives on April 29, 2025.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects arrested include:

Afeez Enitan, 28
Ayomide Daniel, 30
Olamilekan Adeagbo, 26, aka Skinny
Mayor Samson, 28
Basit Ishola, 20
Quadri Sikiru, 26
Mariam Salihu, 23
During the raid, law enforcement recovered a range of dangerous weapons and ammunition from the suspects, including one Beretta pistol, four 9mm rounds, one cartridge, two battle axes, and two cutlasses.
The Lagos State Police Command noted that investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the suspects’ involvement in cult activities and associated criminal acts.
Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the swift and strategic action of the Command’s tactical teams and the Eko Strike Force. He also emphasized the importance of community vigilance and encouraged members of the public to promptly report suspicious activities.
He said that the State Command, remains committed to rooting out crime in all forms and ensuring the safety of everyone living in and visiting Lagos State.
The arrest of these suspects marks another significant step in the fight against cultism and organized violence within academic communities in Lagos.
