The people of Ibogun town in Ifo LGA, Ogun State, led by the Olu of Ibogun land, HRM Oba Adesina Faluade Fatunde, Anikinnikun I, have held community prayers and sacrifices to end kidnapping and insecurity. Speaking at the gathering, the Oba said the community spoke with one voice to drive out the menace and restore peace. He urged youths to work together, remain vigilant, challenge strange movements, act immediately, and report promptly to the police.

Oba Fatunde noted that Ibogun has seen progress since 2017, including a new Oba market, a central mosque, improved electricity, and a new police station supported with a community borehole. He thanked the Ogun State Government, Nigeria, traditional groups, Ifa priests, Baales, and residents for unity and support. Citing Ifa consultation, he said _Obarabogbe_ points to dialogue and sacrifices to remove obstacles. He stressed that Isese, Christian, and Muslim residents live in peace, adding that he built both a central mosque and a church to foster unity and cooperation without discrimination.

The Oba commended the DPO of Ibogun Balogun for security collaboration and said a peaceful community makes policing easier. He appreciated the role of Ibodun Agbomabiwon market in boosting commerce and thanked Baales, chiefs, and residents for their support. He affirmed that all steps being taken are aimed at ensuring that terrorists and kidnappers have no place in Ibogun, Ifo LGA, and across Ogun State.
