Forward Operating Base FORMOSO of the Nigerian Navy conducted its Second Quarter Route March on Saturday, June 27, 2026, through Egweama and Liama Communities in Brass LGA, Bayelsa State, in line with the Navy’s 2026 Schedule of Events. The exercise was aimed at sustaining operational preparedness and physical fitness among personnel.
The march recorded a strong turnout of officers, ratings, NYSC members serving at the Base, and host community security personnel. Their participation highlighted the growing synergy between FOB FORMOSO and its host communities. Commanding Officer, Capt. SK Haruna, commended the commitment shown, noting that route marches are key to building endurance, maintaining combat readiness, and keeping personnel prepared for emerging operational challenges. He also appreciated the NYSC members and community security teams for adding significance to the event.
The exercise ended on a high note with three hearty cheers for the Commanding Officer, marking a successful conclusion to the Q2 Route March and reinforcing the Base’s focus on fitness, readiness, and civil-military cooperation.
