The Lagos State Police Command is in mourning following the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police Khan Salihu, DCP in charge of Finance and Administration. DCP Salihu died on Monday, 15 June 2026, a loss the Command described as a deep shock to officers and men.
A disciplined and dedicated senior officer, DCP Salihu served the Nigeria Police Force with professionalism, loyalty, and integrity. Known for diligence, strong leadership, and administrative expertise, he played a key role in strengthening the management and operational efficiency of the Lagos Command throughout his distinguished career.
CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, psc, mnips, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, on behalf of the Command, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. The Command prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved and eternal rest for DCP Salihu, whose humility, selfless service, and commitment to duty will remain an inspiration to officers of the Command.
