Ayan Asit Chakraborty, an Indian national, has been listed as sought by the Nigerian Police Force.
Using the reference number AR: 3000/ZN.2/MTU/TMI Vol. 2/141, a Gazette Bulletin reported that a Lagos arrest warrant had been issued by the Magistrates’ Court.
The suspect is anticipated to surrender at the Zone 2 Command office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police in Onikan.
Ayan is sought after in connection with the alleged theft and unlawful transfer of funds from the Nigerian company Shash Industries Ltd. between 2017 and July 2022.
He is charged with creating around N500,000,000 in fictitious transfers to his different personal accounts for his own gain.

The accountant is 35 years old, 5.7 feet tall, of medium build, with a round chin, an oval face, a long nose, a tiny mouth, thin lips, and good teeth.
Ayan is described by the police as having curly hair, a big head, a low forehead, smoking, drinking, dressing in corporate/casual, and frequenting pubs and clubs.
The notification also stated, “If seen, arrest and deliver over to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone-2 Command Onikan Lagos 07030308813 or to the nearest police station.”
