Discipline, academic excellence and character were in focus as Police Secondary School, Oke-Ibu, Batoro, Sagamu, held its maiden Passing-Out Parade, Graduation Ceremony and Prize-Giving Day. The event opened with a colourful march past, parade by the graduating class and a guard of honour. Representing the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, the Area Commander, Sagamu Area Command, ACP Aremu Olusola, inspected the parade and took the salute. In his goodwill message, ACP Olusola congratulated the graduates and urged them to be worthy ambassadors by embracing responsibility, diligence and lifelong learning.

School Commandant, CSP Nanloh Rindap, described the ceremony as a defining milestone, commending staff, students and parents for their commitment and sacrifices since the school’s establishment. He praised students for combining academic performance with discipline and humility, and thanked benefactors and partners including the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi; DIG Peter Ogunyanwo (Rtd); the Ijowa of Batoro, Prof. Adesegun Adedapo Ogunsola; the PTA; Ogun State Amotekun Corps; and other supporters. Chairman of the occasion, Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Security Matters, AIG Olusola Zubair (Rtd), delivered the keynote, stressing the need for quality education and investment in youth as drivers of national development. The Force Education Officer, represented by Dr. Adegoke, and PTA Chairperson, Mrs. Esther Adegoke, also encouraged graduates to add vocational skills to their academics.

The ceremony featured valedictory speeches by Head Girl, Adebola Wuraola, and Head Boy, Abolade Pelumi, cultural performances, and a celebratory dance that drew applause from guests and parents. AIG Zubair further appealed for more infrastructure support, including additional hostels, classrooms and science laboratories to aid the school’s growth. The event wrapped up with the presentation of prizes and awards to students, teachers and benefactors for academic excellence, conduct and service, marking a memorable start for the young institution and setting a strong foundation for Police Secondary School, Sagamu.
