In a powerful display of commitment to public safety, the Ota Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Navy, and other top security agencies, conducted a joint patrol exercise on December 31, 2024. This strategic operation emphasized their readiness to maintain high-security standards in Ota and its environs in Ogun State.
The joint exercise, part of the yuletide security strategy, aimed to ensure the safety of lives and property while fostering a crime-free environment during the festive season. Speaking during the operation, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Oladele Bamidele Oluwashola, the Area Commander of Ota, commended the officers for their dedication and urged them to remain vigilant and proactive in their patrols. She noted that their visible presence since the launch of the exercise had sent a clear and stern warning to individuals with criminal intentions.
ACP Oluwashola also emphasized the importance of faith and divine protection, encouraging the officers to carry out their duties with firmness and a belief that their safety is assured.
