Delta state police command have arrested one suspect, Eseoghene Ezekiel Obeje ‘m’ aged 28 who put a call to his brother that he was kidnapped and that the kidnappers were demanding a ransom of Five Hundred Thousand Naira only (#500,000) and Money should be transferred into his personal account as ransom.
The Police public relations DSP Bright Edafe made this know to our asaba correspondent Akpomejero Friday in a press statement in asaba the state capital.
The police public relations officer DSP Bright Edafe said the police team stormed Odovie community in Ughelli North LGA and arrested Eseoghene Ezekiel Obeje at the same spot where the sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand Naira (#1,300,000.00) was earlier paid as ransom for the release of his elder brother and husband of the deceased.
DSP Edafe however said that Eseoghene is a member of cult group that he faked his own kidnapped and is also suspected to have masterminded the kidnap of his brother and other family members which led to the death of Regina Ogana.
